History of Frylund Made Woodworking
Joel Freisinger’s interest in tools and construction started when he was young. He loved building things and seeing how things got put together. After getting an Associate’s Degree in auto detailing… ooops… Joel quickly realized his mistake and got a job working for a general contractor in Marshfield, WI. He started learning the trade of building cabinets and doing finishing work while at that job.
Life took Joel to Western Wisconsin and he specialized in hardwood flooring while new to the area. After 8 years of building his reputation as a cabinet maker, he took the leap and started to work full time for Frylund Made Woodworking in 2019.
2020 brought big changes – he and his wife Cameron moved out to their farm in Amery and turned one of the previous outbuildings into a woodshop. In the fall of 2020 Joel had a terrible accident and broke his shoulder and his hip after falling off a roof. Thankfully he healed quick and was able to get back to his passion of building cabinets. You may notice that he favors his right arm during the installation process, but he powers through!
Since 2020 the family has undergone a number of changes that have affected Joel’s business but he has been able to hold steady to his goal of building and installing quality work for his customers in the Western Wisconsin and Twin Cities Metro area.
We look forward to the future of Frylund Made Woodworking! As of right now, our son already enjoys taking apart his toy kitchen and putting it back together… “just like Papa”.
