Starting a project?
Are you in the early phases of starting a home renovation project? There are a million decisions to make during that process, and it can be so challenging to determine which decisions actually matter… Every single person looks at their finished project and thinks back on something they could have done differently – even if it is just a small thing – but rest assured working with Joel will not be something you regret!
Step One: You are starting a renovation project or starting to budget for a project in the next few years. Often times, this is when you are asking others for referrals for who did their work which is hopefully what led you to this website! Take a look at the gallery page to see some examples of projects Joel has completed. Most of these pictures came from homeowners themselves, so please don’t judge our photography skills!
Step Two: Get in contact with Joel! Phone call. Text. Email. Facebook messenger… all are great options for getting in touch with Joel. You don’t need to have any specific details on hand for this initial phone call because Joel will want to come to your home to look at your space and talk about your plans in person. Have 2-3 dates and times that you are available and set up an appointment.
Step Three: In person consultation. Joel will come out to your space to talk through what you’re thinking of and take some measurements. If you know what you want and everything is pretty simple Joel should be able to put together a bid within a few days. Sometimes during this step it becomes clear that you are looking for ideas on how to renovate your space to fit your life better. This may be a great time to get an interior designer involved. We have worked with a few in the past and are happy to give recommendations.
Step Four: Estimate is emailed or mailed to you along with any needed stain samples. We require 50% down before work can start on a project to cover the cost of the materials, and sending payment is considered confirmation of the discussed plans. Cash, check, or credit card accepted.
Step Five: Joel starts building your project.
Step Six: Joel installs your project.
Step Seven: Final 50% of the cost of the project is due.
Step Eight: Let Joel know if anything isn’t up to snuff. We stand behind our work, and want to make it right if something isn’t working the way you think it should!
